The battleship "Mikasa" was completed on March 1, 1902 by Vickers, Sons & Maxim in the UK.
It was armed with four 30.5 cm main guns, fourteen 15.2 cm secondary guns, sixteen 7.6 cm auxiliary guns, four 4.7 cm rapid-firing guns, and four 45.7 cm underwater torpedo tubes. It had a maximum speed of 18 knots and a hull armoured with Krupp steel, making it the most powerful battleship in the world at the time of its completion.
In December 1903, it became the flagship of the Combined Fleet and fought in the Russo-Japanese War under the command of Admiral Togo Heihachiro.
