Welcome to Hasegawa, where passion meets precision since 1941. As a distinguished manufacturer of meticulously crafted plastic model kits, they pride themselves on offering a diverse array of subjects spanning various genres. From the graceful lines of aircraft and the majestic allure of ships to the sleek designs of automobiles and the intricacies of figures, motorbikes, and sci-fi and pop culture models, Hasegawa caters to the discerning modeller’s every interest.
This unit was deployed by the Strahl Army, which is pushing forward with the unmanned nature of its weapons, as a countermeasure against mercenary army armored suits. The name Großer Hund means "large dog." It is a hunting dog equipped with a strong alloy skeleton and armor and powerful laser weapons. Compared to the mercenary army armored suits, which are just over 2m tall, the Großer Hund is a large unit of about 3m, and is a viciously styled unmanned weapon that was developed with the "fear" it would inflict on opponents upon encounter in mind.
The kit is made by creating 3D data for molds based on the original model by Masaki Sekido. The equipment of the unit reproduces the basic "ground type" form. Each joint is movable using poly parts. The "bird legs," one of the features of this unit, which incorporate a reverse joint by adding an extra joint, are also fully movable in each part! The power pipes on the neck and legs are made of paintable soft material. The design allows you to enjoy a variety of poses that are unique to plastic model kits. The intricate frame of the torso, with its complex interlocking structure, and the precisely crafted manipulator of the right arm, are all rendered with sharp detail, showcasing the mecha's highlights.
Optional smoke dischargers are included. Decals for 3-4 units are planned, printed using vibrant silkscreen printing. The familiar painting guide is also included. The package illustration is by the original author, Hiroshi Yokoyama. Package Illustration: Hiroshi Yokoyama Prototype Production: Masaki Sekido
